HA Mighty Marching Band
The HA Mighty Marching Band is a powerhouse of spirit and sound, bringing energy to football games, pep rallies, and special events throughout the year. Under the direction of James Holmes (Director of Bands) and Joey Keener (Associate Director of Bands), the band features over 60 members, including a percussion drum line unit (7-8 members), majorettes, and flag line performers.
The band delivers electrifying halftime shows and leads the Raider crowd with powerful band chants during games. Their dedication to excellence has earned them recognition at the 3A State Championships in Birmingham, Alabama, where they finished as state runner-up. With a strong tradition of performance, teamwork, and Raider pride, the HA Mighty Marching Band continues to be an essential part of the Houston Academy experience.
