HA Upper School: Preparing for the Future

At Houston Academy Upper School, students in grades 9-12 experience a dynamic and challenging academic environment designed to prepare them for college and beyond. Under the leadership of Head of Upper School, Craig Selig and Dean of College Advising, Samantha Krietemeyer, students are guided toward academic excellence, personal growth, and leadership development.

Our rigorous academic program fosters critical thinking and intellectual curiosity, with 35% of graduates scoring a 30 or higher on the ACT. In addition to excelling in the classroom, students have access to a diverse array of extracurricular opportunities. Whether they’re involved in Student Government Association (SGA), robotics, athletics, performing arts, or Raider Ambassadors, students are encouraged to pursue their passions and develop leadership skills.
