2025 Summer Camps

Houston Academy will host several academic / enrichment camps and programs this summer that are OPEN to the Wiregrass. Check out the list below and sign up soon! If you have any inquiries, email Mr. James Holmes at holmesj@houstonacademy.com.

Chemistry Camp

Instructor: Vanessia Snell
Grades: Rising 10th
Dates: July 15-17 (Click here to register)
Location: HA Campus 409 | Times: 9:00am – 12:00pm
Cost: $100

This camp will focus on basic chemistry concepts which include metric conversions, dimensional analysis, scientific notation, and significant figures. These concepts will be used throughout the chemistry curriculum.

Raider Running Camp

Instructor: Karrie Hart, Matt Parker

Grades: Rising 1st – 6th grade

Dates:  July 14-18 (Click here to register)

Location: HA Gym | Times: 5:30pm – 6:45pm

Cost: $75

Bring water, Gatorade, cooling towel each day.

Sign up by July 1 to ensure you get a camp shirt.

Enhance your performance in other sports though improving your speed, agility, and endurance. Earn medals at the end to the week by participating in Raider Races: 400m, 1/2 mile & 1 mile race.

HA Youth Soccer Camp

Grades: Ages 4-6 Group 1 (5-6pm)

Ages 7-10 Group 2 (6-7pm) | GIRLS and BOYS

Mini Majorette Camp

Instructor:  Amy Griffin

Grades:  Rising Grades 2-6

Dates:  July 28-31 (Click here to register)

Times:  1:00pm – 2:00pm

Cost:  $100

Location:  HA Campus – EDC GRAND HALL

Class Size:  N/A

Special Instructions:  Students will need to bring their own baton to camp. These can be ordered online. Please contact griffina@houstonacademy.com if you have questions about sizing or ordering information.

Brief Description: The HA Majorettes invite you to attend our Mini-Majorette camp that will include learning twirling basics and a fun halftime routine!! Participants will perform at a home football game and pep rally. For more information, contact Amy Griffin at griffina@houstonacademy.com.

Future Raiderette Camp

Brief Description: Calling All Future Raiderettes! Get ready to dance, shine, and show your Raider spirit! Join the HA Raiderette Dance Team as we teach an upbeat routine that YOU get to perform at Meet the Raiders on August 15th, a home pep rally on September 5th, and under the lights at the September 5th home football game! Whether you're a beginner or already love to dance, this camp is the perfect way to step into the spotlight and be part of something exciting!
· Snacks provided daily, just bring your water bottle and come ready to dance!
· Register by July 11, 2025, to guarantee your camp

Cooking with Kids

Brief Description: A kids’ cooking class is a fun, hands-on experience where children learn basic cooking skills, kitchen safety, and nutrition while making simple, age-appropriate recipes. These classes encourage creativity, teamwork, and confidence in the kitchen, helping kids develop a love for cooking and healthy eating in an engaging and interactive way.

Treasure Island Summer Camp

Special Instructions:  Screen-Free Summer continues with an adventure in search of buried treasure with themed stories and crafts about pirates, sharks and the seven seas, challenging daily scavenger hunts across campus, yummy no-bake recipes and, of course, water play!  We'll also have time for free play and recess each day with peers!  Snacks and drinks provided.

This class takes a fresh, fun approach to strengthening executive function skills such as planning, organizing, self-regulation, and focus through hands-on activities, games, and real-life strategies. This class offers practical tools to make executive function challenges feel less overwhelming—and even enjoyable! Come join us and discover creative ways to stay on track, boost confidence, and turn everyday tasks into opportunities for success in and out of the classroom.
