Houston Academy appoints Brian Jackson, Ken Jackson and Tom Renshaw to oversee the soccer program.

Houston Academy is excited to announce the new organizational structure for our soccer program.

Brian Jackson will be serving as the overall coordinator and contact person for the Houston Academy Soccer Program.

The Boys Soccer Program consisting of Varsity Boys and Junior Varsity Boys Teams will be lead by Brian Jackson and long-time coach, Ken Jackson. They will secure an additional assistant (TBD) as well to assist in providing quality instruction for our student-athletes.

Brian Jackson is currently serving our school as Director of Marketing, Communications and Sports Information. With over 10 years of experience in coaching soccer, Brian also brings experience and accolades as a standout player during his high school career as well as in ODP and club soccer throughout the area. Brian has a passion for soccer which will be evident in his approach to coaching.

Ken Jackson is in no way new to Houston Academy and the soccer program. Ken has served as a head and assistant coach for Northview High School and Houston Academy teams. With a U.S Soccer Federation C License, Ken has extensive coaching experience at the club, high school and collegiate level.

The Girls Soccer Program consisting of Varsity Girls and Junior Varsity Girls Teams will be under the leadership of Tom Renshaw. Tom will serve as the varsity girl’s coach and will immediately begin putting together his staff to provide the best opportunities for our many girls interested in girls’ soccer. Tom has extensive training and credentials including La Liga Methodology Level 1 and USSF National “C” License along with 10 years of coaching experience in soccer. Most recently, Tom has served as Houston Academy’s JV Boys and JV Girls soccer coach along with coaching multiple club teams in Dothan.

There will be a Soccer Interest Meeting on September 15 during middle and upper school break for all students (male / female) grades 7-12 interested in playing soccer this year. The meeting will be held during break in the commons.
