Houston Academy Middle School students create levers and pulleys in physical science class while distance learning
Houston Academy moved to a Distance Learning Model on March 17, 2020. Throughout this time, HA teachers have continued to be creative in their teachings and communicate frequently with students through distance learning. This has been consistent throughout all levels of the school, grades 3P through 12. Feel free to view our virtual teaching highlights during the stay-at-home order.
Mrs. Jeanne Davis is teaching about levers and pulleys in middle school physical science while distance learning. Students learned about simple machines, work, forces, and mechanical advantage. The students each created their own videos explaining different types of levers and pulleys. They had to find -or make- their own examples of simple machines. They got creative, as you will see screenshots below of the videos they had to submit.
