Student life at Houston Academy is exciting and busy. A happy student is an inspired learner.
On any given week, you’re likely to find Raider fans cheering for our athletic teams, or admiring art work hanging throughout the campus. Students broadcast campus news from our television station and enjoy access to outside benches. Upper School students hang out in the breezeways, and seniors enjoy the perks of better parking and locker location. Juniors are buzzing about the prom theme and trying to keep it a secret. Homecoming week is filled with dress up days, face painting, bonfire and black light routine, and finally the announcement of the queen and court at the culminating pep rally. The mutual trust and respect of students and teachers are at the heart of school life at Houston Academy. Students are responsible for promoting a sense of honesty and integrity within their community by setting an example for others to fully support the Honor Code. At Houston Academy, students don’t learn to merely regurgitate facts and memorize answers. They learn to think for themselves and solve real-world problems to prepare them to “achieve their highest academic, social, and creative potential.”
