Art Club: The Art Club promotes visual awareness for students in grades 9-12 who are interested in art. Each year they participate in the various art projects in the school and the community.
Junior Art Club: The Art Club promotes visual awareness for students in grades 7-8 who are interested in art. Each year they participate in the various art projects in the school and the community.
Computer Club: This club is for students in grades 7-12 with an interest in working with computers.
First Priority: Students meet weekly to promote Christian support of fellow students. They sponsor a child through the Christian Children's Fund.
French Club: French Club is open to any students grade 9-12 who take French. Its purpose is to explore and enjoy the culture of France and other French speaking lands around the world. The French Club meets regularly for special lunches and dinners featuring food from France, Quebec, and other Francophone areas such as the Caribbean and Africa. Other activities include participating in cooking demonstrations, watching French films and plays, attending museum exhibits, and informal parties.
German Club: The mission of German Club is to provide greater awareness of and exposure to the culture of German-speaking countries. The club seeks to advance understanding between German and American cultures.
Honor Council: The Honor Council is a group of students whose purpose is to uphold the Honor Code. Officers are elected by their peers on the basis of their integrity, character, and honesty.
Houston Academy Rescue Team: The purpose of the Houston Academy Rescue Team (HART) is to help find ways to support the homeless pets in our area, to encourage adoptions by providing assistance in animal training, animal socialization and adopt-a-thon events, and to raise public awareness through education.
Interact: Interact is a service organization sponsored by Rotary Club for students in grades 9-12.
Key Club: The Key Club is a service organization sponsored by the Kiwanis Club for students in grades 9-12.
Latin Club: Latin Club is open to students presently enrolled in Latin. Its purpose is to promote the study of the Latin language and Roman history.
National Honor Society: The National Honor Society recognizes students with a 3.52 grade point in core classes. In February, the Senior Honor Society recognizes students in grades 10-12 for scholarship, leadership, service, and character.
National Junior Honor Society: The National Junior Honor Society recognizes students in grades 7-9 with a 3.52 or higher grade point average. Members must exhibit scholarship, leadership, character, citizenship, and service.
Scholars' Bowl: Scholars' Bowl, open to students 9-12, studies and practices together in order to promote scholarship and sportsmanship by preparing for and attending academic competitions.
Junior Scholars' Bowl: Junior Scholars' Bowl, open to students in grades 7-8, studies and practices together in order to promote scholarship and sportsmanship by preparing for and attending academic competitions.
Spanish Club: Spanish Club is open to students in grades 9-12 currently enrolled in Spanish. Its purpose is to foster an interest in and awareness of Hispanic culture and the Spanish language.
Student Council: The Student Council is the students' representative body. It presides over the general homeroom period, promotes school spirit, sponsors the homecoming activities, assigns lockers and parking spaces, and organizes activites throughout the year. In the spring, the student body elects a president, vice-president, secretary, and treasurer to serve as officers for the upcoming year. Any interested students who complete the required application may serve on the Student Council.
