Since the school’s inception, the events and people who make Houston Academy memorable have been recorded by students each year in the Cavalier, now in production for Volume 42.
The yearbook staff and faculty advisors still strive to reflect the experiences of the H.A. family through engaging photography, thoughtful writing, and attractive design, all connected by a specific theme unique to that school year. Students from grades 9 through 12 may elect to work during a G period class, Journalism/Yearbook, and after school to cover events, conduct interviews, and create pages. Eighth graders may take Journalism 8, a semester elective, and learn basic skills as apprentice staffers. The Cavalier is created online through Yearbook Avenue®, and manufactured and published by Jostens, Inc., at a plant in Clarksville, Tennessee.
