On January 27, 2012, the Houston Academy Varsity Scholars' Bowl Team competed in the 2012 Regional EnviroBowl Competition at Troy University-Dothan Campus. For the second straight year, they won the event. This year the team went undefeated throughout the entire competition, flawlessly answering questions regarding the environment and the state of Alabama. In addition to winning for the second consecutive year, the team also posted the second highest score in EnviroBowl history. The win at this regional competition earns them the right to travel to Birmingham on March 9th to compete against 16 other teams from across the state. Congratulations Varsity Scholars' Bowl Team!
