Upper School Music

Upper School Band

The Houston Academy Upper School Band is comprised of forty-eight students ranging in age from 7th through 12th grade. In the past few years, the HA Upper School Band has consistently made superior ratings at District Assessment, as well as superior performances in Orlando, FL; Atlanta, GA; and even Cozumel, Mexico. In addition, students compete and are selected for the Alabama All-State and District Honor Bands every year, a wonderful representation for Houston Academy.

During the fall semester, the band supports the Raider football team by performing at halftime and in the stands during the games. The band also performs at the annual Christmas concert. In the spring, in addition to the All-State and District Honor Bands auditions, the band will present a spring concert.

The Upper School Band is led by Mr. James Holmes and Mrs. Shelley Keeley.
