The Music Department at Houston Academy strives to instill a love of music in each of our students - from 3P to 12^th grade. Music education plays a vital role in the development of each of our well-rounded students. The opportunities offered to the Houston Academy students are designed to enhance the quality of their lives.

Students in 3P-4^th grade receive music twice a week and are involved in a progressive music program which includes performing, composing, voice training, music history, and music theory.

When the students enter 5^th grade, every student participates in the Lower School Band. Students are given instruments that they will play through 6^th grade. Students in 4^th-6^th grades participate in the Lower School Chorus. Seventh through twelfth grade students have the opportunity to be in the Upper School Band and Chorus.
