Exploring technical and conceptual artistic skill, we strive to equip our students to be creative problem solvers and critical thinkers.  We also seek to provide an exciting avenue for self-expression.

Through Art History and Studio Art, our students explore many different artistic periods and work with a variety of media. These experiences encourage our students at Houston Academy to develop individual style and prepare them to creatively approach their future. Texture, shape, color, line, and light prove to be invaluable tools that are used by our students, not only to create, but also to guide them in seeing the world through the eyes of an artist. Through exploring, taking risks, and even working through obstacles, each art project gives insight to the heart of the artist.
