Mrs. Kelly’s Kindergarten class conducts an experiment called glitter germs.
Mrs. Kelly’s kindergarten class did an experiment using glitter to demonstrate how germs are easily spread but difficult to wash away! This was a learning experiment for the students especially with the flu and other illnesses going around during winter season.
Students each used different colors of glitter. Then, students shook each other’s hands to see how they exchanged their “germs”. Next, students tried rinsing with plain water to remove their “germs”. Plain water didn’t work! Finally, students washed with soap and water for fifteen seconds (or while singing the entire ABC’s) to see how it removed their glittery germs.
